Our Story
Taqueria Mexico is owned and run by Leony Arav and Daniel Sanchez, two partners born and raised in the vibrant heart of Mexico City. Their shared love for authentic Mexican food — and the joy of serving others — is the soul of the restaurant.
Daniel has spent his life in kitchens across Mexico, the United States, and the United Kingdom, bringing with him a deep passion for cooking and hosting. His dishes carry the flavours he grew up with, refined through years of experience and a genuine love for sharing Mexican cuisine with the world.
Leony discovered her love for cooking early on. What began as private cooking lessons in her home grew into a successful high‑end catering business, known for its warmth, creativity, and attention to detail. It was through this work that she met Daniel — and from the very first collaboration, it was clear they shared the same vision: to cook the food they love, and to serve it with heart.
Together, they created Taqueria Mexico — a place where authentic flavours meet personal hospitality. Every dish reflects their heritage, and every guest is welcomed with the same warmth they grew up with in Mexico City.
